With the rapid development of e-commerce, online shopping platforms and proxy shopping platforms have become increasingly popular. Timeliness and accuracy in logistics distribution are crucial factors that significantly influence customer satisfaction and the overall shopping experience. This study aims to compare the performance of these two types of platforms in terms of logistics delivery.
To evaluate the timeliness and accuracy of logistics distribution, data were collected from 100 orders each from a leading online shopping platform and a proxy shopping platform. The metrics used for evaluation included delivery time, on-time delivery rate, and the accuracy of delivered items.
The findings revealed that the online shopping platform had a higher on-time delivery rate and fewer errors in delivered items compared to the proxy shopping platform. Key results are as follows:
The results suggest that online shopping platforms generally offer better logistics performance in terms of timeliness and accuracy. This could be attributed to their sophisticated logistics networks, use of advanced tracking systems, and streamlined coordination among supply chain partners.
To enhance customer satisfaction in proxy shopping platforms, improvements in logistics efficiency and inventory accuracy are strongly recommended. Adopting advanced tracking technologies and enhancing supplier coordination could be key steps towards achieving these improvements.
